| Well there is various hybrids to AG decks and dragon is almost always splashed into various builds for offense and draw power. In your case..I assume your shooting for more a Pure type AG deck...in which case the most common kind or favorite build is the UAGG one.
How one is used varies depending on the user and the build can vary slightly depending how its played. To save you from more useless talking though, I'll post a "Basic" build I've used for UAGG; Again..mind you every build can vary..this is simply how I played it personally...so you should ask others how they maybe build there's to find what you like best.
Monsters ( 18 )
AG Beast X1 AG Engineer X1 AG Dragon X3 AG Golem X3 AG Knight X3 Cyber Dragon X1 Giant Rat X2 Minefieldriller X2 Grand Mole X1 Gigantes X1
Magic ( 16 )
AG Castle X1 AG Workshop X1 Brain Control X1 Future Fusion X1 Geartown X3 Heavy Storm X1 Limiter Removal X1 MST X1 Power Bond X2 Terraforming X1 Trade-in X3
Traps ( 7 )
BTH X2 Malevolent Catastrophe X1 Mirror Force X1 Torrential Tribute X1 Trap Stun X2
Total: 41
If your not familiar with this kind of basic AG build; I can explain a few things.
Geartown- You want this being destroyed 80% of the time; Hence why you have cards like gigantes, Catastrophe, etc in the deck. The 20% of the time is when you may be better served tributing for a golem..since he can't be summoned with Geartowns eff.
Giant Rat- Searcher for Driller so you can recycle your field card for more use; Plus can get out Mole to deal with problem monsters..and lastly can SP Engineer..since without Geartown..it usually ends up as a dead card in your hand.
Trap Stun- This is simply my own personal tech in the deck...wither you keep it or not is completely up to you; But it helps protect your AG beaters from things like Torrential, BTH...but also more importantly..use before Fusing UAGG with power bond so you can make sure he comes out cleanly and you get off a good hit that turn.
Again though...people run the deck differently...some don't like using 3 AG knights..some prefer more terraforming, yata yata
So find what build works best for you and get different opinions..hopefully my build gives you something to simply work from though. GL
