When did you start playing

This is the idea of corossion. He opened it in the introduction section and i mistakely deleted it. So i opened it again here.

I started playing from 7 years real cards then stopped for 2-3 years then returned...

Hmm....I started roughly 5-6 years ago.

I've never been a fan of social gathering though, so If i did play any tourny like events; it was more less small based one (Won a few of them).

I stopped playing about 2 years later though....Sold all my cards and did other things.

I halfway kept up with the changes in yugioh, though I stopped playing. I really didn't have the time to go buy cards and play irl much anymore, So i now just stick to online play and keep up-to-date with changes to be competitive how i can. I try to look up info and deck idea's from various sites to try to stay halfway knowledgeable of on-goings and what not happening in tournys,etc.

Always found it useful to learn from others and research in your hobby/interest. Some would be surprised how good you can be by simply being knowledgeable about what your doing......how i've always stayed on top with MMO's ive played; Simply knowing more than my adversaries

Well, I start playing Yu-Gi-Oh Cards since I am 6 Years Old, that time YGO Cards in my country are very popular and also cheap XD. I am poor so I only buy some cards a week. That time my rarest card is Cyber-Stein. While my cousin (Rich) bought a lot of cards and he give me some of his cards, Envoy Of The Beginning, Blue-Eyes and Dark Magician because he still got those cards. After he gave me those cards, I started to play this card game until now. I tried to find an online YGO game in yahoo and I did it !!! I found an free online game call KCVDS.

Well I started playing YGO about half a year ago. I played Joey the passion and started playing KC about 3 months after starting JTP, so I am a bit new to this, but I try my best. I don't own any real cards, I just play the game online.

I Started playing since LOB cames out and i sttoped playing for a while after the restriction of thousand eyes restricted then i came back to the game like 3 or 4 years later when perfect circle and monarchs were the most played decks.

I started playing about 4 or 5 years ago, but i didn't know anything. I had only 1 starter deck and i shared that with my brother 20 cards each. We came up with our own rules cause we didn't understand the rulebook. Then i totally forgot the game for a year but then i got friends who liked yugioh. i started to really collect cards and play. I spent really a lot of money on YGO but it was worth it. I have some really good cards like Raviel, Uria and Cyber End Dragon. But in Finland YGO isn't too big thing and, especially in a small town like this, if i'd start talking YGO with someone they wouldn't understand a word. Then i realized that nobody plays YGO anymore and i have something like 4000 cards. I remembered that i once played YGO online but the site was gone (setokaiba.com). i started looking and YAY^^ now i'm playing again

I started playing when i was 3 years old, right now i m 12. I got very interested because there were many fun and cool combos! The pictures also looked cool. But i stopped playing for a year in 5th grade, so i continued last year! Then in school i got slaughtered by synchro monsters and rainbow dragon! So i found out KC and played there and learned the weakness of all synchros! I built a real life deck that can beat synchros! My key card in real life is Pyramid Of Light because i have 2 copies of Sphinx Telia and Andro Sphinx! I also have Theinin The Great Sphinx!
That is how i prevented from getting slaughtered! Later i became the best duelist in the school!

I remember those days; such a long time ago. People ran nothing but summoned skulls,seven tools,magic jammers,solemns and a bunch of beaters. What happened since LOB >.>

Hm, I think when I was about 11 (5 years ago). A friend of mine had a bunch of oldschool cards and he gave me my first deck. He didn't know all the rules, but he taught me the basics about the game. Then, I moved, but found some friends that were more experienced, and i started playing at some amateur touneys, but still no official ones yet. Soon, I just looked up decklists until I figured out the best combos

Well,I started to play YGO when i was 9-10 with fake cards.Then,after 1 year with real cards.My first decks were Dragon's Roar and Zombie Madness .I stopped after 2 years.One day my best friend told me about some tournaments in a store and I started again.I started playing KCVDS when i saw a link in a forum about yugioh.It was a bit difficult to understand how KCVDS works but then i figured out.That's all xD

I started playing when legend of blue-eyes first came out to the US. That was a while ago. I've been off and on, selling my cards every so often just to buy new ones when the new stuff came out lol.

i too have been playing the game sine the LOB set has came out my first deck was the starter Dark Magician deck

I started playing 7 years ago, got a joey starter deck, that was about it , my parents thought that my happiness wasn't worth buying, so i didn't get to buy packs or anything, i might get some on christmas or my birthday, but that was it. then i found KCVDS and fell in love

Well as far as i can remember i started playing 7-8 years ago using fake cards.Then for some unknown reason
i stopped.Last year (well to be exact 7 months ago) i found joey the passion and start playing online.Finally due to a lack of cards i uninstalled it and installed kcvds which by the way is far more superior than joey the passion.

I started playing about two years ago with joey the passion, then I had some friends introduced me to the structure deck the dark emperor. i bought it, started playing at some tourney, my friends stopped playing at tourneys, i kept playing, made some new friends. I was just in a tournament today. I probably made like 30 or 40 just in prizes and trading.

I never watched the Yugioh anime, but I'm a cardgames freak, though.
However, I prefer the classical card games I "professionally" play Bridge and Texas Hold'em Poker. There was once a time in Primary School when I was Magic:The Gathering maniac, but stopped playing roughly a year after I started.
Half a year ago, searching for a demanding card game to play that actually requires a lot of thinking, i was introduced to Duel Monsters. That's when I started playing. I don't own any cards in real life and am still learning some of the rules and cards, but I'm already good enough to win a game or two with you old hands at this

I've done the magic game, pokemone card game, and now yu gi oh, not for more then just a few weeks now

So if you wanna call anyone a newbie at this, it would be me

Like most here, I heard of the game when LOB came out, but I didn't start playing until Metal Raiders came out. I've been playing the game ever since. Even now I think the oldest cards I have from back then are Sword of Deep-Seated, Salamandra and Silver Fang.

Though I did stop playing for a while to try other cards games (like Magic, Chaotic, etc.), I quickly turned back around to playing this game.

I couldn't really go around to tournaments back then, so the only people I could play at the time were my younger brothers. Then I heard about KCVDS when I was in high school, and I've been hooked ever since. And it was through KC that I was led here.

Started playing around maybe 6 or 7. I just bought random packs and see what I gets and thats how it pretty much started.

Tbh i dont remember wheni joined it was a few years back, maybe about 7 i think? anyway i couldnt believe that when i bought my first booster pack i got Exodia's head lol O.o Later on though in school it really caught on then i had a good deck back then with about 3 Blue eyes i believe but sadly i forgot them in my trouser pocket and it ended up in the wash lol. Good thing my exodia head was at home Later on me and my bro found a site giving us 250 cards for £5 was worth it but most of the cards were doubles (( rip off!!!! )) Forgot about the game for a while then found this when it came out i think, got bored of it because not many people were in it then. Later on i found there was a few more updates so i rejoined and there were lots of people And i was brought to this site because i believe someone started to spam this site in the chat box i think lol?
