DUA intro?

hello all, i just wanted to understand the DUA a little more, so if you could post some intro here and stuff, that would be nice

I will start first xD

I am Yuri, DUA Admin. I from Malaysia, and I am a chinese. I am a friend of Karimgh, the owner of DUA. But he is busy so I do all the works myself. I am not a well duelist but I always try to improve myself. I cannot remember to activate trap card or effect during some duel. That is my main weakness LOL

I like photoshop too xD But i am not a pro. Beside KCVDS, I spend all my time for DotA. A famous game around the world that I always play with my friend. I am just 16

so what are the academies characteristics
anyone who knows this academy can post this and i guess he may explain it well ^^


and yuri...i know what DotA is xD a special type of warcraft game (just some map which everybody plays around the world and they have forums like us lol)

I think i can answer this question a bit. I was one of the 3 1st members of the academy . I was dueling random players on KC and then i had a duel with Karimgh, then he asked me if i wangted to be a tester in his academy, i was new on KC so i didnt knew wath an academy was but i accepted, then the only members were Karimgh, Yuri Bakura ( our 2 admins ) and me. At 1st we had really big troubles finding members to join us. The academy was realy small and the members we had were like affraid to post so the forum was like a total disaster, then we found like 15 members in 1 week. most of them are no more here and will never comme back and nobody was active in DUA

It was like all the efforte we putted in building it was for nothing, Our admins worked hard in the aspect of the academy to invite to people but nobody wanted to stay except 2 guys, Vongola-x and JaliceDakari. Those are our most Loyal members here and Vongola helped me a lot with the recruiting and testing thing and Jalice helped me filling the forum with articles and stuff and when we tought everything was done for nothing another member came here and it was Vohan . I never saw someone as active as Vohan in my life and since he is hee its like we are having new members everyday and now we are making like 12 tourneys a month and registrations are always full and the people really enjoy the academy. so thats basicly the History of DUA

We passed from a dead academy to a small academy but with lot of action and mouvement in it

That's summed up pretty nicely and does roughly cover our brief history.

Everyone has to start somewhere though and that about sums up how this academy came about. Scorp, Lnoir, Yuri and the rest of the mod/testers did a great job in recruiting people, and I've tried my part in trying to get the forums going a tad and stuck with the academy and began to see it grow as days passed.

As the academy stands now; We have a nice little collection of people and I would like to think we all get along well and have grown to find some friendships amongst each other that may stretch beyond just playing yugioh.

Overall, we're still a work in progress and are still etching our own history one day at a time, but I have no regrets about staying in the academy and being able to be a part of its growth, and only time will tell how far we can reach and achieve.
